Where an individual can no longer make decisions for themselves a relative or person with an interest can make a Guardianship Application. This is a court appointment which authorises a person to act and make decisions on behalf of an adult with incapacity. An adult, is someone who is aged over 16 who is not able to look after their own affairs.
We can provide legal advice upon when it is appropriate to seek a Guardianship order and make the relevant application to the court for the necessary powers depending upon what is appropriate under the circumstances.
